I just purchased a new battery for my 1953 Caddy (was 6 1/2 years old but time to go). NAPA had it “fresh” in one day. It says “NAPA”, but DEKA Manufacturing, at Lyon Station, Pennsylvania makes it for NAPA. The largest battery manufacturer is Johnson Controls Co.. Most new car manufacturers use them. They are at all Walmarts and I find them better than DieHard, Exide and Interstate. Interstate, for my old car, wanted 1 1/2 times that of the NAPA price and a 6 week ordering time.
My size is CCA #3EE, a long type like a 1941 Buick uses, only those are 6 volt, not 12 volt. Check cranking amp hours, reserve capacity specs on a battery, never below original requirements. CCA is the rating size number on all battery sizes and dimensions. Don’t remove a battery on newer cars as computers radios and electronics need re-setting. Walmarts install “free”, no charge, just for buying their battery at their stores.
